Boeing on track to beat Airbus in plane sales

Chicago-based Boeing Co. has received more than 1,000 net airplane orders so far this year, putting it on track to sell more planes than European rival Airbus for the first time since 2007 and 2006.
Boeing received net orders of 1,009 airplanes through November 6, including 990 737 airplanes, Boeing’s website showed.
Airbus had net orders of 382 airplanes through September, according to its website.
