Walgreen Co. corrected a computer glitch by 8 a.m. that had caused its pharmacies to be unable to process prescription payments for about two hours, a spokesman said Tuesday.
The Deerfield-based drugstore giant continued to fill prescriptions using a system that lets customers pay the same as they did the last time they filled the prescription, said spokesman Michael Polzin.
Once the system started up again, the payment is processed and any differences resolved.
