Aon profits up 3 percent in third quarter over previous year

Aon, the world’s largest insurance broker, reported Friday that third-quarter profits had risen 3 percent over the same period last year.
The world’s largest insurance broker put third-quarter profits at $204 million, or 62 cents per share, compared with $198 million, or 59 cents per share, last year.
