The Chicago-area’s largest private employer is moving its headquarters to the Loop, Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s office announced Monday.
Presence Health — the name given to Chicago-based Resurrection Health Care and Mokena-based Provena Health after their 2011 merger — is expected to bring 200 corporate employees to the new headquarters at 200 S. Wacker.
“This new headquarters facility will allow Presence to continue its outstanding growth, fueled by the talent and one-of-a-kind economic environment found in the city of Chicago,” Emanuel said in a written statement.
Presence President and CEO Sandra Bruce echoed the mayor’s words: “We are excited about the benefits of bringing together our executives and support staff into one downtown location.”
Corporate employees are currently spread out in offices on the Northwest Side and in Mokena, the mayor’s office said.
Presence is Illinois’ second-largest health care system, with 12 hospitals, 22,000 employees and 4,000 medical professionals.
