McDonald’s Corp. is testing noodles dishes starting Thursday at its restaurants in Austria, citing a need to keep its menus updated and innovative.
The “McNoodles” dishes include salad, fresh vegetables and chicken “pieces” served with either chicken curry or chicken sweet and sour sauces, the Oak Brook-based fast-food giant said Monday.
The “McNoodles” offerings will be available for two to three months at 4.99 euros or $6.56.
The Asian noodles are shipped directly from Thailand.
“We have intensively been spending more than a year and a half in Asia and Austria to develop this new product,” said Hans-Christian Jurceka, food innovation specialist at McDonald’s Austria.
