Although the unemployment rate remains high, some blue and white collar workers are in high demand, according to the latest ManpowerGroup Talent Shortage Survey.
Here’s the company’s list of the top 10 hardest jobs to fill based on a survey of 1,300 U.S. employers:
†Skilled trades.
†Engineers.
†Information technology staff.
†Sales representatives.
†Accounting and finance staff.
†Drivers.
†Mechanics.
†Nurses.
†Machinists/machine operators.
†Teachers.
Among the most common reasons employers say they are having trouble filling positions are lack of applicants, lack of experience and applicants looking for more pay, ManpowerGroup said.
To help address talent shortages, employers are developing work force strategies and partnerships with local educational institutions, according to ManpowerGroup President of the Americas Jonas Prising.
