Warming centers open

GARY — As the snow began to fall Tuesday afternoon, city officials announced that warming centers were open and would be available for anyone who needs shelter during the storm.
They are:
Brunswick Pavilion, 775 Clark Road, open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Telephone 944-1595.
Hudson-Campbell Fitness Center, 455 Massachusetts St., 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m Saturday. Telephone 886-7099.
Calumet Twp. Multi-purpose Center, 1900 W. 41st Ave., open 24 hours daily as needed. Telephone 981-4028.
Public Safety Facility, 555 Polk St., available as needed. Telephone 881-1260
Roosevelt Pavilion, 21st Avenue and Harrison St., 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Telephone 883-9408.
Residents with cold-weather emergencies during non-business hours can call the Gary Police Communications Division at 881-1260.
