The Buick Verano gets a few improvements for 2014, including forward-collision and lane-departure warning systems and the addition of heated front seats as standard for all trims except the base model. While this entry-level luxury sedan has compact size, it offers premium features and sophistication. Inside cabin materials will impress with a standard luxury list that is only rivaled by the technology surrounding the occupants. A standard 180-horsepower 2.4-liter 4-cylinder is a base with the turbocharged 2.0-liter engine paired with a six-speed manual transmission as the option. MSRP $24,625 - $29,065

The new 2014 Buick Regal, MSRP $30,615 - $39,270, offers last year’s 2.4-liter “eAssist” 4-cylinder as an option while a 259-horsepower 4-cylinder turbo becomes the likely powerplant behind most new Regals. The turbo Regals now have AWD as an option in addition to a redesigned dashboard with a standard 8-inch touchscreen and additional safety features. The Regal is a fun car to drive and it handles good enough to offer thrills inside a cabin laden with outstanding accents and materials.

The Buick LaCrosse gets refreshed styling on the outside and within the cabin. Base-priced at $34,060, look for an updated touchscreen interface on the 2014 Regal in addition to a large list of new safety features. The Buick LaCrosse delivers a refined and quiet cabin with an understated elegance that is not overwhelmed by the presence of obvious technology and contemporary touches. The base “eAssist” powertrain is a mild-hybrid that nets a combined 29 mpg. LaCrosse’s V6 has plenty of power and is available with optional AWD.

At only 168 inches long, the Buick Encore is a true compact crossover at it very core. Its diminutive size makes it a great urban option and with a base price of $25,085, the new Buick Encore adds rear cross-traffic alerts and an optional blind spot monitoring system for 2014. This year’s Encore maintains its upscale cabin refinement and the interior flexibility you expect from an SUV. Encore delivers great fuel economy for its class, and it’s size inside allows for four adults and some cargo to co-exist with ample comfort.

MSRP $39,665 - $48,315

For 2014 the Buick lineup has seen the addition of impressive safety features and the Enclave also is the recipient of more safety with forward collision alert and a lane departure warning system. The full-size Enclave is an easy choice for many families who need plenty of passenger room and utility space but prefer a near-luxury experience with a value-minded base price. The equipment standards reach high for Enclave, as all models feature amenities like xenon headlights, triple-zone automatic climate control and the IntelliLink touchscreen electronics interface as standard.
