Person shocked by downed wire in Pilsen

A person is in serious condition after apparently making contact with a downed power line Monday morning in the South Side Pilsen neighborhood.
Emergency crews responded to a report of an electroction about 9:20 a.m. at 2352 S. Ashland Ave., Fire Media Affairs spokesman Quention Curtis said.
One person was taken to University of Illinois Medical Center in serious to critical condition, officials said.
Police and fire officials could not immediately provide further details Monday morning.
