Former tennis star turned pop singer Yannick Noah said he received death threats from a neo-Nazi extemist group prior to a concert in France, according to a French newspaper report. He is the father of Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah.
Yannick Noah, the father of Bulls’ center Joakim Noah, said he was the target of death threats and racial slurs from neo-Nazis prior to playing a concert in France, a French newspaper reported on Sunday.
The former tennis star turned singer contacted police after receiving the threats in a theater in Roanne, the France Soir reported.
The former French Open champion said the the threatening messages were signed by Phinehas, a local extremist group, the report said.
