Guilty of driving while webbing? You’re not alone. An online State Farm survey found 19 percent of drivers say they use the Web while driving.
The top reasons drivers surfed the net included to send or read e-mails, look up information that just couldn’t wait or to check out their Facebook or Twitter feeds.
State Farm surveyed 912 smartphone-using drivers and found most admitted to using the Internet while stopped at a stop light or in heavy traffic. Those polled said they commonly use the Web when driving alone, during the day or on long drives.
About 40 percent of Americans use a smartphone. Tina Sfondeles
