A South Loop man was ordered held in lieu of $60,000 bail Thursday for allegedly biting a man’s arm and another’s shin during Lollapalooza.
Sergio Vicenteno approached one victim from the back, put him in a chokehold and threw him on the ground during the music festival in Grant Park on Aug. 1, Assistant Cook County State’s Attorney Erin Antonietti said.
When the man’s two friends tried helping him, Vicenteno, 33, allegedly bit one of the friends in the arm.
Vicenteno then went back and bit the first victim in the shin, Antonietti said.
Ben Lenet, the man who was bit in the arm, told the Sun-Times earlier this month that he and his friends were watching the Arctic Monkeys when they were attacked.
Lenet, 29, said his attacker “craned his neck back and clamped” on Lenet’s forearm.
“He’s not biting at me. He’s clearly trying to bite through me,” he said.
Vicenteno, of the 1400 block of South Michigan Avenue, is facing aggravated battery charges.
