Police say a 23-year-old Naperville man who went missing in early August was found dead in South Dakota’s Black Hills National Forest.
Authorities found the body of Jordan Baznik around 5:30 p.m. Friday, after more than a week of search efforts, according to the Custer County Sheriff’s Office.
Baznik, a Naperville Central graduate, was on a road trip with friends when he went missing, the Associated Press reported.
Authorities don’t suspect foul play. An autopsy is scheduled for this week.
“We’ll be doing a toxicology screening to see if there was anything abnormal as far as ingestion of medications or other substances,” Custer County Deputy Coroner Ruth Airheart said.
Baznik graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 2013 and was vice president of the school’s electronic music club.
