Con man: Release me from prison to fix mess from crime I committed

Serial con man John Thomas has been locked up for two months since he pleaded guilty to a $370,000 scam that ripped off Riverdale taxpayers and left the south suburb’s blighted marina in ruins.
But now the 52-year-old former federal mole and real estate developer says he’s the only person who can fix the mess he made — so he’s asking a judge to temporarily release him from prison.
