Green Line service resumes after being suspended for hours

Updated: July 7, 2014 11:17AM

CTA Green Line service has been suspended Monday morning on the South Side.

No trains are running between Garfield and Ashland/63rd-Cottage because of a track switching problem, according to the CTA.

Passengers at some Green Line stations heard announcements and saw posted warnings about major delays on trains headed north and west to the end of the line at the Harlem/Lake stop.

It was not immediately known how long service will be suspended.
