A South Side man was killed and another man wounded in a shooting Friday evening in the South Side neighborhood Fuller Park.

Charles D. Short, 51, of the 6700 block of South Indiana Avenue, was dead at the scene after being shot in the head around 6:30 p.m. Friday in the 4200 block of South Princeton Avenue, according to the police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

A 32-year-old man was shot in the chest in the same incident and taken to Stroger Hospital.

The two men had been standing outside when a vehicle drove up and a man got out and started shooting, according to the police.
