She added that it is was good to get out of her basement apartment where there is no sun.

After a record-breaking, seemingly never-ending winter, spring has finally sprung in the Chicago area, at least for a few days. For the first time since Oct. 12, 2013, temperatures at both O’Hare International Airport and Midway Airport peaked at 70 degrees Friday afternoon, according to Casey Sullivan, meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
