Updated: April 10, 2014 7:13PM

A 3-year-old boy was injured when he fell out of a second-story window Thursday afternoon in the Portage Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The toddler fell through a screened window on the second story of a building in the 4700 block of West Addison Street about 3:45 p.m., Chicago Fire Department spokesman Juan Hernandez said.

The boy was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, where he is “stable,” Hernandez said.

The child's injuries were not immediately known. Chicago Police did not have information on the incident.
