Cubs fans headed north on the Red Line to the Cubs opener at Wrigley Field will be able to get off at the Addison CTA station on Friday, CTA officials revealed in an about-face Thursday.
Earlier, the CTA had announced plans to bypass the northbound Addison station because of track work. But shortly after 6 p.m., spokeswoman Catherine Hosinski said the closure of the Addison stop during the Cubs game had been canceled.
“Trains will be operating normally. There’s no Addison bypass,” Hosinski said.
