A north suburban Lincolnwood man is dead after his car was rearended on the Edens Expressway in Skokie early Sunday.
A man driving a white, 2-passenger Audi was likely speeding when the car rearended a Chevy truck on the southbound Edens near Touhy Avenue about 1:45 a.m., Illinois State Police Master Sgt. George Jimenez said.

The driver of the Audi was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, Jimenez said. Charges are pending against the man, police said Sunday morning
Both vehicles appeared to be completely mangled and were at separate ends of what Jimenez said was a quarter-mile-long scene.
All southbound lanes were reopened almost six hours after the crash at 7:30 a.m., police said.
