1 dead, 14 wounded in shootings since Friday

One person has been killed and 14 wounded in shootings across Chicago since Friday.

The fatal shooting happened around 1:30 p.m. Friday in Grand Boulevard on the South Side. Marc Campbell, 20, of the 9200 block of South Stony Island Avenue, died after being shot in the head in the 300 block of East 51st Street, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Someone walked up to Campbell, shot him and ran off, according to the police, who haven’t made an arrest.

Among the other shootings, a 13-year-old boy was hospitalized after being shot in his left ankle in a drive-by shooting around 4:25 p.m. Saturday in the 6100 block of South Indiana Avenue, police said. He was being treated at the University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital.
