Three people were shot in an apparent drive-by shooting Friday evening close to an eatery on the Near West Side, officials said.
Two 19-year-old men and a 16-year-old boy were standing near Jackson Fish & Chicken restaurant in the 200 block of South Western Avenue near about 7 p.m. when a silver Pontiac pulled up and an occupant produced a handgun and opened fire, police said.
One 19-year-old was shot in the right foot, the other was shot in the left leg and the 16-year-old was shot in the right foot, police said.
Police said all three were taken to Stroger Hospital in “stable” condition.
However, Fire Media Affairs Director Larry Langford said one of the victims was in serious-to-critical condition while the other two were in fair-to-serious condition.
Police said the shooting may have been gang-related.
No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
