3-year-old girl found dead in wooded area in Riverdale

Chicago Police are investigating whether the body of a 3-year-old girl found in woods in Riverdale woods are those of a child reported missing in Chicago Sunday.
Riverdale Police said someone reported finding the child’s body about 3:25 p.m. Sunday while walking in an area just west of 140th Court and Stewart.
A spokesman for the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office declined to comment as to whether the body showed signs of trauma. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
Chicago Police said Monday they are investigating whether there is a connection to a child reported missing about 5:30 p.m. Sunday from the 3500 block of South Rhodes in the South Side Douglas neighborhood.
