A Chicago man wanted in connection with a $1 million Pennsylvania jewelry theft was arrested early Friday on the West Side.
Oscar Rodriguez, 30, was arrested about 2:45 a.m. after he was seen standing in the middle of the street obstructing traffic in the 2700 block of South Kedzie Avenue, police said.
Officers interviewed Rodriguez, and a name check revealed he was wanted on a Pennsylvania warrant for robbery, police said.
Rodriguez was wanted in connection with a $1 million jewelry theft from a salesman in Pine Township, Penn., according to published reports.
Pennsylvania’s Northern Regional police chief did not immediately respond to a call for comment Friday afternoon.
Rodriguez, of the 2800 block of West Cermak Road, is expected to appear in Cook County bond court Saturday, according to the Cook County state’s attorney’s office.
