Woman killed, man wounded in West Pullman shooting

A woman was killed and a man was wounded in a shooting Monday afternoon on the Far South Side, Chicago Police said.

The shooting happened about 12:35 p.m. in the 11700 block of South Eggleston Avenue, part of the West Pullman neighborhood, said Chicago Police Officer Daniel O’Brien, a department spokesman.

Natasha Green, 19, was shot in the head and taken to Roseland Community Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 1:20 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

A 23-year-old man was shot in the leg and taken to an area hospital, O’Brien said.

No one was in custody, but police were investigating.
