A 13-year-old Olympia Fields girl who authorities said was behind the wheel during a crash last month in the south suburb in which a 12-year-old boy was killed and two other children were injured has been charged as a juvenile with reckless homicide, reckless conduct and possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
The girl, whose name was withheld because of her age, was driving the car around 12:45 p.m. on Nov. 27, Olympia Fields police said Saturday.
Authorities believe she was speeding when she crashed into a tree.
Killed in the crash was Armani Kreamer, 12, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
