Updated: November 13, 2013 7:54PM

A man burned another man’s genitals with a lighter after finding him with his girlfriend this week, Chicago police said.

The 30-year-old man was hurt when the man caught him with his girlfriend about noon at an apartment in the 4400 block of South Honore Street, said Chicago Police Officer Veejay Zala, a department spokesman.

The injured man suffered burns to his genitals, and was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, police said. He was later transferred to the University of Chicago Medical Center in “stable” condition.

No one is in custody as Area Central detectives investigate.
