Two men were killed and five other people -- including a man in a wheelchair -- were wounded in shootings across the city from Tuesday afternoon to early Wednesday.

A 20-year-old man was shot to death in the Lower West Side neighborhood about 11:30 p.m., police said.

A blue van pulled up alongside the man as he was walking in the 2200 block of South Oakley and someone from inside opened fire, police said. He was dead at the scene.

About a half hour earlier, a man was found dead in the West Garfield Park neighborhood with a gunshot to his head.

Michael Sullivan, 53, was found on the sidewalk in the 4200 block of West Lake, police said.

The most recent non-fatal shooting occurred about 1 a.m. Wednesday in the 5800 block of West Altgeld in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

An 18-year-old man walked into Presence Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center after a bullet grazed his head, only to become “uncooperative” with police and walked back out, police said.

About 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, a 20-year-old man was shot as he was being pushed in his wheelchair by a friend in the 1100 block of West 58th Street. Someone walked past the two and opened fire, hitting the man in the knee, police said.

He was taken to Saint Bernard Hospital and Health Care Center where he was listed in “stable” condition, police said. The man pushing the wheelchair was not injured in the shooting.

The man who was injured knew the shooter, police said.

Just before 6 p.m., a man was shot several times in the South Shore neighborhood.

The 32-year-old was outside in the 6800 block of South East End when two unknown suspects walked up behind him and opened fire. He was shot in both arms and one of his legs, police said.

He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in “stable” condition, police said.

Tuesday’s first shooting occurred in the East Garfield Park neighborhood, police said.

Two men were on the sidewalk in the 3400 block of West Flournoy at 2:44 p.m. when an unknown person approached and fired multiple shots, police said.

A 27-year-old man was shot in the back, and a 19-year-old man was shot in the buttocks, police said. Both men were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in “stable” condition.

No one is in custody for any of the shootings as area detectives investigate.
