Five wounded in weekend shootings across Chicago

Five men have been shot across the city of Chicago since Friday afternoon.
The most recent shooting occurred Saturday morning in Austin. A 24-year-old man was shot in the right ankle around 5 a.m. while walking on the sidewalk in the 0 to 50 block of South Central Avenue, police said. He was taken in good condition to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park.
About 10 minutes earlier, a man in his 20s was shot in the 1200 block of North Harding Avenue in Humboldt Park and was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, police said.
About 2 a.m. Saturday, a 21-year-old man was shot several times in a leg while walking in the 300 block of North Central Avenue and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.
About 10:50 p.m. Friday, a 24-year-old man was shot in his right arm while standing on the sidewalk in the 3300 block of North Whipple Street from a passing sport-utility vehicle, police said. He was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in good condition, police said.
Around 9 p.m. Friday, a 26-year-old man was shot in the buttocks in the 1500 block of East 61st Street in Woodlawn, police said.
