Rush takes leave from Congress, dealing with wife's surgery

WASHINGTON—Rep. Bobby Rush (D-Ill.) has taken a leave of absence from Congress in order to be with his wife, Carolyn, who is dealing with major surgery, his office just told me. I asked about Rush following his absence last week for two important votes: A GOP measure to reduce food stamp funding and the other a GOP resolution to prevent a government shutdown after Sept. 30 only if ObamaCare is defunded.
