A Burbank toddler who died Friday may have been left in a vehicle parked outside his home, police said.
The 1-year-old boy was found unresponsive by his parents at 5:50 p.m. in the 4800 block of West 85th Street, Burbank police said. He was found in a vehicle parked in the home’s driveway and may have been left unattended inside for an unspecified period of time, police said.
Burbank paramedics took the boy to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 6:20 p.m., police said.
At 6 p.m., the temperature was 91 degrees at Midway Airport. But with the heat index, it felt like 97 degrees, National Weather Service officials said.
His identity was not being released early Saturday pending notification of additional relatives, police said.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office could not immediately confirm the boy’s death.
