Two brothers were found shot to death inside a red Dodge Charger on the Far South Side early Tuesday, police said.
The brothers, ages 35 and 38, were unresponsive when investigators found them in the front seats of the late-model sports car, parked in the 100 block of East 120th Street, police said.
The elder brother, found in the passenger seat, had been shot in the chin, police said. The younger brother had been shot in the head and the chest.
Neither of the two, who were pronounced dead at the scene, are known to associate with a gang, police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli said.
“They have no gang affiliation that we know of, but we’re still trying to determine a motive at this point. It’s early in the investigation,” Mirabelli said.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office did not immediately release their identities.
Investigators are interviewing possible witnesses and looking into whether or not surveillance cameras may have captured a suspect or a suspicious vehicle in the area, police said
No one is in custody.
