Fire Department cooling down stuck, overexpanded bridges

With the mercury climbing past 90 and heat indices hovering around 100, the Chicago Fire Department on Thursday has been working to cool down some of the city’s bridges stressed by the heat.
According to Fire Media Affairs, fire personnel have been assisting with bridge operations by cooling down bridges that have become stuck or have overexpanded because of the intense heat.
As of about 1:45 p.m. fire personnel spraying water on the 95th Street bridge.
