SAN ANTONIO — Heading into Tuesday’s Game 6 of the NBA Finals in Miami, there still seems to be some debate on who the NBA Finals MVP should be between the Spurs’ Tony Parker and Danny Green. That’s an argument that shouldn’t even be taking place. Not only has Green set a new Finals record with 25 three-pointers, but his 18 points per game leads the Spurs. Then factor in that he’s averaged four rebounds per game and seen some defensive duty against LeBron James and it makes Parker’s 16.2 points and 6.6 assists per game shrink a bit.

But the real kicker? The Spurs are still a minus-2 in the plus/minus category with Parker on the court through the first five games. When Green is out there they are a plus-18. Unless there is a drastic change of events in the next two games, end of debate.

◆ Parker’s best crossover may have come after Game 5. The guard hobbled in and out of the postgame interview room, and when asked about the strained hamstring acting up, he responded, “Just tired, just tired. It was a physical game.’’

The Spurs better hope that’s all it was.

◆ It’s now Miami coach Erik Spoelstra’s turn to make the adjustment, so don’t be surprised if Ray Allen is in the Game 6 starting lineup. Allen has averaged 17.5 points in the last two games, and the Mike Miller experiment has run its course after two starts.
