A west suburban man was found dead aboard a CTA Green Line train at a South Side train station early Thursday, authorities said.

Brian R. Olivia, 22, was found “unresponsive” aboard the train at the 63rd Street and Ashland Avenue train station at 2:09 a.m., said police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines.

Olivia, of the 2000 block of South Mill Road in Addison,, was pronounced dead at the Englewood neighborhood station at 2:43 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

Olivia had a history of drug abuse that may have played a role in his death, according to the medical examiner’s office. Police discovered drug paraphernalia in his possession.

Area South detectives were investigating.
