Chicago could see 2 inches of snow Sunday

Updated: March 23, 2013 10:07PM

An early-spring snowstorm Sunday is expected to hit parts of Chicago and the suburbs with up to two inches of snow.

Flurries are expected to begin around 1 p.m., according to the National Weather Service, which forecasts temperatures to hover in the mid-30s during what’s likely to be a windy day, with gusts up to 35 miles an hour.

Snow showers could continue early Monday, the weather service says, but temperatures are expected to warm into the mid-40s by the end of the week.
