NBC5 Chicago has named Connecticut broadcast veteran David Doebler as it new president and general manager.
Doebler assumes the post effective immediately, the station said Tuesday.
Doebler, who has more than 25 years of local television experience, most recently was president and general manager of NBC Connecticut WVIT, a post he held for the last eight years.
Doebler replaces Larry Wert, who left NBC5 to become president of Tribune Co.’s local broadcasting business.
