Red Line back in service after train hits, kills man

Service resumed on the CTA’s Red Line on the South Side about 11:25 p.m. Thursday after being suspended for more than two hours because a man in his 20s was hit by a train and died, authorities said.
The man was hit about 9:05 p.m. at the 87th Street Red Line station in the Chatham neighborhood, Chicago Fire Media said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according the the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office. His identity and age were not released.
