Bond was set at $2 million Monday for Lisa Davis, 42, of Westmont, who was charged with first-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of her husband Friday night, police said on Sunday.
About 7:30 p.m. Friday, Westmont Police officers responded to a 911 call at a home in the 500 block of West 61st in the west suburb, according to the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s office.
When officers got to the home, they found David Davis, 49, bleeding from a knife wound in the right side of his abdomen, a release from the state’s attorney’s office said.
He was treated at the scene and taken to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries around 11:35 p.m.
Lisa Davis was arrested at their home and has been in police custody since, the release said. It is alleged that at some point before 7:30 p.m. Friday, the two got into an argument, which ended with Lisa Davis stabbing her husband with a kitchen knife, the release said.
