Normal service has resumed on the CTA Brown and Purple line trains after “major delays” occurred Thursday morning, delaying mass transit riders.
A “power delivery problem” between the Belmont and Fullerton stations on the North Side disrupted service, according to a CTA alert.
As a result of the disruptions, Brown and Purple trains heading toward the Loop did not stop at the Wellington and Diversey stops, the alert said.
Residual delays may occur, the alert said, so riders should allow extra travel time.
