Off-duty Chicago Police officer carjacked on South Side

An off-duty Chicago Police officer was carjacked Monday night in the Calumet Heights neighborhood on the South Side, police said.
The female officer was in the 9000 block of South Crandon about 9 p.m. when three men — one of them armed — confronted her and demanded her money, purse and SUV, police News Affairs Officer Ronald Gaines said.
The three robbers took her purse and fled in her white 2012 Buick Enclave, Gaines said.
The 58-year-old officer was not injured and her weapon was not taken, Gaines said.
No one was in custody, and Area South detectives were investigating.
This is the second time in two days that an off-duty Chicago Polce officer has been the victim of a crime.
On Sunday night on the Southwest Side. an off-duty officer was shot during an attempted robbery. The officer was released from Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn Monday afternoon.
