‘Intoxicated’ woman critically injured when struck by cab

A woman who allegedly drunkenly walked into a roadway and was struck by a taxi cab on the North Side remained in critical condition Saturday morning.
Police say the 26-year-old woman was “intoxicated” when she walked into the roadway and was struck by the cab near North Clark and West School Streets about 12:45 a.m. Saturday.
The woman was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in critical condition, said police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer, citing preliminary information.
The cab driver remained at the scene of the collision and was not cited for a moving violation, police said.
