Nine handbags worth $27,000 stolen from Gold Coast Barneys New York

A purse-snatcher went right to the source on the Gold Coast, ripping off nine handbags worth $27,000 from Barneys New York.
It’s unclear exactly when the designer handbags were taken from the store at 15 E. Oak St., but employees noticed they were missing Thursday and called the cops.
Detectives are reviewing security tapes.
Handbag price tags at the luxury retailer range from several hundred dollars to upwards of $12,000.
