Man charged in Wood Dale burglary, accomplice sought

Police continue to search for a man who fled from police following a burglary in Wood Dale early Tuesday in which his alleged accomplice was taken into custody and charged.
The man, along with an accomplice, were burglarizing a home in the 400 block of George Street in Wood Dale about midnight Tuesday when police responding to the residence were able to apprehend the partner-in-crime, Wood Dale police said.
Nakia Tyler, 36, of the 7200 block of South Union Avenue, was charged with conspiracy and residential burglary, according to Wood Dale police.
The second man, Eugene Saunders, fled the scene in a green Chevrolet Malibu. He was involved in a crash at North Avenue and Addison Road in Villa Park before abandoning the Malibu in Lombard when it overturned at St. Charles Road near Route 53, police said.
Sanders, 32, of the 7900 block of South Francisco Avenue, is still at large, police said. A warrant for conspiracy and residential burglary was issued for his arrest.
No one was injured in the burglary.
