A patient was in critical condition Thursday after another patient stabbed him multiple times at a West Side hospital.
Police said a 31-year-old patient stabbed another man of the same age on the third floor between 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Loretto Hospital in the 600 block of South Central , police said.
Witnesses told police they heard the men arguing, then saw one man climb on top of the other man before the stabbing, police said. The victim was transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital. The alleged attacker was not charged, police said.
