Susan Gillooley has resigned as vice president of the New Lenox School District 122 Board, days after a Will County judge ordered her and another woman to stay at least 100 feet away from each other.

According to a release from the school district, Gillooley cited a desire to spend more time with her children as the reason for her resignation, which takes effect immediately.

Gillooley has served on the Board of Education for five years.

On Thursday, Will County Circuit Court Judge Victoria Kennison ordered Gillooley and Kathleen Jackson, who accused Gillooley of stalking, to stay at least 100 feet from each other for the next three months.

Jackson sought a temporary order of protection against Gillooley last month. She accused Gillooley of repeatedly driving by her home, taking a picture of her vehicle while it was parked at her work, calling her names and telling her to stay away from Gillooley’s boyfriend over the telephone. Gillooley’s boyfriend is Jackson’s ex-boyfriend.

Daniel Kallan, Gillooley’s attorney, has said Jackson’s accusations are “totally bogus” and are meant to harass Gillooley.
